The Cobb Crew has been on the move! We got back late Monday night from a week-plus in California.
I spent the work week with my clients and then Michael flew out the following weekend for some family fun and our friends' wedding.
I hammered out a ton of tasks for my client. Good thing: their install is six weeks away! In between all of the shopping and meetings, I was able to get in some good fun with family and friends. My high school girlfriends and I enjoyed Taco Tuesday; my parents and I took the kiddos to Rogers Gardens for Landry to enjoy the pumpkins and train. Michael and I had a fabulous boat cruise and dinner with friends that have a beautiful yacht. I even fit in two flea market excursions! Needless to say it was a wonderful week away but we arrived home pooped and ready to nest.
Barrett turned nine months last week. He's changing so much by the week. He's starting to say small words and spending a lot of time on his tummy trying to crawl. He can maneuver a walker like a race car driver. He's obsessed with Landry (and pulling her hair)!
Landry is a parrot talking up a storm and repeating just about anything you say. She's starting to say the funniest stuff. One of my favorite things is when you ask her a question and she pauses, says hmmmm...., how 'bout..... and then answers very thoughtfully.
She had a ball in California. She loves my parents' dog Zoe, going to the beach, eating donuts with Papa, and playing on my parents' patio with the millions of toys they've collected over the years.
The kids also got some quality time with their great grandparents. One night we baked cookies and Landry iced them with Mama and Gray Papa. We had them for dessert after my dad's fabulous surf and turf homemade dinner. It was such a special night.
This week has been a really busy one getting back in the groove and prepping for my big install in Missouri next week. The kids have adjusted really well and had no issue flopping back to the Texas time zone thankfully. And, they were both thrilled to see Cristina.
Knowing next week is insane (and that Michael is on serious daddy duty with me out of town), we are holing up at home for some major relaxation.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
