Barrett turns three months!

Landry wore an Easter blouse my grandma made me when I was a baby.
I tried taking a photo together to show off the top, but it wasn't easy with the wiggle worm!

I came home from work one day to Barrett sporting
a whale onesie and swim trunks.  Cristina likes to get creative
with the kids' outfits!

I took a snuggle break while planting to love on this sweetie

Can't get enough of those chubby cheeks!

Don't be fooled by this sweet picture.  She's a sassy pants these days!

Licking her plate!

Tomorrow Barrett turns three months.  Even though the time has flown by, it's hard to believe he's only three months when you look at the chunky monkey.

This weekend was pretty low-key.  Friday I met Paula at the park again for the kiddos to run around in the grass and play.  It was perfect out and such a nice way to unwind after a very busy week.

Saturday I loaded up on plants to pot in our yard after losing so many things to the cold winter and freezes.  Michael and I spent the entire day working in the yard and Landry had a ball shadowing us with her little bucket and shovel.  Barrett was happy as a lark chilling out in the cabana looking up at the fan.

We thought Landry was a good baby (and she was), but we hit the jackpot with Barrett.  I'm sure this means he'll be a nightmare in high school, but he is just about the happiest, laid back baby I've ever met.

Barrett has been smiling for several weeks now but recently he's started giggling a ton.  He's really ticklish and nearly belly laughs when you tickle him.  His eyes are crystal blue and he has dimples when he smiles.  He doesn't have much hair, but if memory serves me right it looks really similar to Landry's at his age.  It's a light brown and looks like it's a little wavy.

He's sleeping through the night more and more.  This weekend he did so every day, hallelujah!  He's going down around 10:30 and waking up between 6:30 and 7 so I'm feeling really good these days!

Landry is as busy as ever.  She's really putting together words.  It blows my mind how much she learns and grasps every single day.  It's so fun and amazing to watch her figure things out and blossom with each minute that goes by.

The poor thing is getting her little fang teeth in right now and you can tell it's bothering her big time.  She's constantly biting on her little hands.

Thanks to my friend Samantha, we turned her onto Pharrell's hit song "Happy" and she's obsessed.  We blast it in the house a few times every day and she busts out in song and dance and it's the cutest thing ever.  Her moves are as bad as mine; she does a little booty shake or wiggles her head to see her curls fly around.  It's so fun to watch!

Last night we retired over at Paula and Todd's house for some wine, sliders and ice cream.  The kids had a ball running around the house, dancing to music and eating huge slices of watermelon.  They are so cute together.  Watching them play with each other is more fun than any fancy night out on the town -- unless we're talking a Bob's steak and lemon drop.

Today was really rainy so we holed up with the kids.  Michael cooked a killer brunch and I got to organize some rooms around the house.  I took Landry out for some ice cream to get out of the house for a bit.  She's fallen in love with the stuff, especially chocolate just like her daddy.  It was a chill, relaxing day and we got in some good quality time with the kiddos which are what Sundays are all about in my book.

Springtime in Texas!

I took my first run since having Barrett (make that since getting
pregnant with Barrett) this week while pushing Landry in the stroller
to enjoy all of the gorgeous flowers in bloom right now

It's finally springtime in Texas!  Typically our big wisteria arbor blooms in early March but it finally popped this week now that the weather is warming up.

The weather and blooms were a nice welcome after a long week last week.  For starters, Barrett had a major bug.  He was running a very high fever for a couple of days that had us very nervous.  Luckily he got over it quickly and is back to normal and doing great.

His bug coincided with a huge home install -- of course, Murphy's law, right?! -- that had me directing my assistant and movers via phone and text on day one while I was at the doctor with the little guy to make sure everything was ok.

The three day install turned out fabulously and my clients are thrilled with the results.  We still have some follow up work to complete but I'm so proud of this house and can't wait to add it to my new site!  I launched a simple site last month at www.cobbinteriors.com.  I need to shoot several projects that I've completed over the past year but it has a good mix of rooms to get a feel for what I've been up to recently.

Last week we kept up our work/play balance.  I'm still taking Fridays off to spend with Barrett while Landry is in school.  Last week I met Jaclyn for breakfast with the little guy.  After I picked Landry up from school we met Paula and the twins for a fun play date.  Paula and I enjoyed a glass of wine outside while the kiddos played in the grass and munched on cookies.

Saturday we had a birthday party for our nanny's grandson and Sunday she had another party for her friend Owen.  Both parties had bounce houses and Landry loved it.  She had never been in one before.  It was very comical at first watching her figure out the whole balance thing but by the end of the second party she was hooked!

Sunday afternoon we were supposed to go to our friends' annual Easter egg hunt on their family's ranch.  But it got rained out last minute so we holed up inside and entertained Landry with finger painting projects, egg decorating and some treats from her birthday party favor bags.

Landry is becoming more and more fun every day.  She's starting to string together small sentences and can understand just about anything you say.  She's a big copy cat, too!  I love being able to communicate with her, but I feel so much responsibility now from watching my words to helping her put together thoughts to make her point.

She's obsessed with playing in her new play room and riding her bike outside.  She's also very fond of a neighborhood cat we've coined "Fluffy" and looks for her out our front door window every afternoon.  There's no doubt she'll be asking for a pet as soon as she knows how!

Barrett is also changing by the day.  He's huge!  He's eating six ounces a feeding, which is more than Landry ever ate at one time.  He smiles like crazy and coos when you talk to him.  He finally slept through the night this weekend!  He's done it again once but otherwise wakes up once usually around 3:30 a.m.  I'm so used to it now that it's old hat but I'm very much looking forward to cutting those out of my daily routine.

Speaking of, Michael and I are headed to Mexico for some down time later this month (hello, sleep!).  Last minute we decided to book a little getaway while my mom is in town visiting.  We are so excited!

When we get back my dad flies in with my grandparents for a fun-filled family week.  We're taking them all over town as well as to the lake house for some relaxation and fishing.  I can't wait to hang with everyone and just enjoy some quality time with my loved ones.
