To recap the past month would take a full day and clear mind, and I have neither. So instead I will fire tid bits.
Most importantly, Landry is 7 months tomorrow! I can't believe it. She's so long she's nearly in 12 month clothes. Her hair is really starting to fill in. She drools like crazy but still has no teeth. She has the biggest blue eyes and smiles like its her job. She's always been flexible but lately our little yogi has been pulling her feet to her head and sometimes even nibbling on her toes. She thinks Michael is a professional comedian and is almost sitting up on her own. We're not crawling yet, but she's starting to extend her legs and try to stand for a few seconds at a time.
The girl has a voice on her. She loves to hear herself coo and will go for 30 minutes or so at a time just talking away. There's no way to stop her -- and I don't want to -- so we try to avoid quaint restaurants during these spells or pray for fellow parents at neighboring tables. She's a pro at eating baby food now and especially loves strawberry-banana.
Michael and I recently got back from my 30th birthday trip to Morocco and Paris. Words can't describe how much fun we had. From hiking the Atlas mountains and riding camels in the desert to finding my shopping nirvana and the perfect Kir Royal, it was the best trip I could have asked for. We missed the babe like mad but milked every non-baby minute knowing she was in good hands with my entire family in California. That said, I'm so glad to be home -- with a new boatload of treasures -- and wake up to Landry's huge smile every morning.
Tuesday Michael and I celebrated our two year anniversary. We kept it simple with dinner at one of our favorite restaurants (Nana and Grandpa watched the peanut). Boy have we packed a lot under our belts in two years!
Tomorrow Landry and I have mommy-and-me yoga along with Ari and Paula and their little ones. We started this class last week and love it to bits. The kiddos lay under us on our yoga mats while we workout to nursery rhymes. It's really fun and surprisingly a great workout. (Although our group lunch afterwards cancels out every bit of calorie-crunching.) P.S. -- Morgan is pregnant and due in March and I just found out another one of my dear pals is preggo today (will reveal who when the coast is clear!).
The day before our trip I had my biggest flea market to date. I'm currently working on the Dec. 1st show as well as expansion plans for 2013. Will let you know more as soon as I have final details.
I'm also planning a big 30th birthday bash for early November. The invites went out this week and I'm in the midst of finalizing the menu and decor. The theme is Moroccan (surprise!) and I've booked a henna tattoo artist and designed a hookah lounge. I can't wait to get all of my friends together and have a festive night under the stars!
Just 26 more days until the big 3-0!
